Last Night
Last Night is an exhibition that aims to highlight the validity of surrealism in contemporary art production. We assume that there are concepts drawn from surrealism being less popular, disguised or located right on the border between what is real and what is not. Either consciously or unconsciously such concepts are always present when the artist has to deal, with the object or body through his work with the space. In this case, we are connecting the Freudian unheimlich category (the disturbing and strange, which seems familiar) with the contemporary portrait photography: considering this genre responsible for cultivating a past moment, while at the same time being an illusion of an everlasting present moment.
