The works in this exhibition converge on the subject of the body in the face of demands, uses and pressures imposed by social and political bodies, bearing tensions on the edge that test their resistance. It makes no difference that the three artists come from and work in different parts of the world, Medellín, Guayaquil or London—they are all subject to the same transgressions based on gender, appearance, disaffection, health, survival, the destruction of their memory and so on.
