A few months ago, we witnessed an “end of the World” that never happened. Or did it? Perhaps that end was simply the progressive replacement of certain socioeconomic models and the values and policies that sustain them.
Taking this metaphoric ending as their starting point, the seven artists featured in this exhibition address the subject of apocalypse and rebirth in the form of the Phoenix. Working in different media (installation, video, drawing and collage), they explore the idea of the end as the beginning of a new period.
